Everyone looks forward to Friday.  Everyone but me.  Many are there across the US who weep along with "Just another manic Monday, wish it were Sunday."  By Wednesday those same poor souls have fallen into the groove of the week singing along "Working nine to five."  And by Friday you find them splurging on sugary pastries at the cafe', blaming those extra calories on a tough week, and when five o'clock hits they're the same ones you hear screaming "Free!  Free at last."  I must admit, these are not my sentiments.  Not at all.  I once yearned for the weeks end and the break from classes, tests, papers, and studying that Friday brought.  Even after college when I joined the workforce Fridays were a cause for celebration- a night to go out and celebrate making it through another week.  For  many years I took rank among those who joyfully anticipated Friday but no longer.

In fact, I've come to loath Fridays.  Maybe loath is a strong word but I most certainly do not look forward to them.  Inevitably, I work every Thursday night at the restaurant until late only to rise early to open the coffee shop.  If I'm lucky I get an hour break before heading in for the Friday night chaos of anxious diners with incompetent decision making abilities.  I leave late, arrive home late, get too little sleep, and am up getting my coffee and heading back to the same restaurant for a back to back lunch/dinner shift with no break.  By Saturday night I collapse in complete exhaustion and am rendered speechless for majority of Sunday.  Certainly this is not what God intended when he created Fridays.  But alas, such is my lot in life and for the time being I must endure.  Though, it must be said: as much as my energy lacks and feet ache by the end of Saturday, my wallet rejoices in the way it gorges itself on Lincolns, Washingtons, and Franklins.  Which is why I find the courage to tarry on.

I haven't taken the time to post and I'm a wretched horrible blogger for that.  Forgive me.  Somewhere in the sixty or so hours a week I'm working I lost the desire to recant my busy meaningless life to the world wide web for all those who click here to skim over and go on about their days slighty less intelligent than before they landed on my page.  But be not dismayed, I have returned after a two month hiatus to sap you of brain cells...

Here's what's going on:
*my roommate is fantastic.  And she's hot.  She puts up with my rather annoying habits quite well.  Bless  her...
*I wanted to go to Charleston for a visit and some free Chickfila but I don't think that will happen now.  Sad day.
*Many road trips are desired on my horizon... Auburn being the most plausible.  But Nashville, Charleston, D.C, New York, and Colorado.
*I'm liking my church but I'm still trying to figure out how to get plugged in better.
*Sadly, missions is on the back burner right now.  I strongly desire doing it but I haven't had the time to really work on applications nor am I as finacially stable as I'd like to be.  I have the desire but not the urgency.  I'm sure it will come as God directs.
*work is good... both jobs.  I'm loving them.  They each have their ups and downs but all is well and I enjoy my work.
**I made a Venti Nonfat No Melon Extra Matcha Green Tea Latte' for Renee' Zellweger when she came through the Drive-Thru at Starbucks on Thursday.  I'm pretty sure it's the best one she's ever had.  She's in the area filming a movie with George Clooney.  It's called Leatherheads.  Look for it.  Especially when it comes out on DVD because in the Special Features Renee' will be talking about that Latte' because it was so dang good.
***THE END***

Life has been crazy but here's where it's got me:

I've moved to Greenville, NOT Nashville.  Sad but the right thing to do.  Greenville will be great, though... it has to be!  I actually move into the apartment this Friday with Lindsay so I'm pumped about that.  And really ready for it.  This whole living on other peoples couches is getting really old.  But it's been good because it's given me a chance to rest and catch up with some people.

As of today I have two jobs.  I landed a Starbucks job after thoroughly harassing the people there until they hired me and I'm working at Trio as well.

Life is good.  A bit crazy, but good.  God is doing good things in my heart and I'm grateful for that.

An here's one more fun wedding picture... all I can say is that my antiperspirant wasn't strong enough! :)
